The Paper Bag Princess

THIS IS HUGE!!

Hey everybody!

Every now and then, out of curiosity, I type "HELLO KELLY" into YouTube to see what kinds of things come up. Sometimes I get videos of people singing our songs, or even high school video projects to our songs ... but then today I plugged in our song title "Paper Bag Princess" ... and I found something truly precious!

As you may or may not know, our song "Paper Bag Princess" was inspired by a Canadian children's book called "The Paper Bag Princess" by Robert Munsch. Here in Canada, it's a pretty popular book.

WELL ... apparently they made a cartoon based on the book.
It's silly and stupid and a waste of time, but if you're interested in seeing a ridiculous, over-inflated, depressingly badly produced cartoon based on the book on which our song was inspired ... we have it here, for you, in it's entirety!!

OPTION 1: Ignore this and go on with your life.
OPTION 2: ENJOY!

Halloween and such!

Hello, Kelly,

So James played his last show a while back and yes, it’s been hard filling his shoes. To show you just how hard it has been to fill his shoes, I’ve found a photo of an exceptionally large shoe to show you.

Yes, it’s been tough but our friend Pierre from Cambridge, ON has been kind enough to fill in and he’s been great! Here’s a photo of him dressed up as Michael Cera’s character from JUNO at our Halloween show.

Speaking of Halloween costumes, I should let you know that I dressed up as Jack Black from School of Rock, but it definitely wasn’t the best costume of the night. Josh, who is playing guitar for a while, dressed up as Jim from The Office.

Ryan, the guy playing drums since Josh is on guitar, dressed up in a children’s Superman costume.

And Mat, stealing the show like always, dressed up as The Joker.

Yes, I’m aware that our band line-up situation is confusing as all heck right now. Sometimes I have trouble keeping track! Don’t worry, we’re working it all out and we’ll be the solid Hello Kelly you know and (hopefully) love again very soon.

Okay, on to more official band business!
We’ve released a new single to Christian radio! It’s already getting adds all over the place, but we need you to help! If there’s a Christian radio station in your area, be sure you call them up (or e-mail them) and ask if they’re playing the new Hello Kelly single, FALL OVER ME. If they are, be sure you call (or e-mail) and request it, okay?
I’m also gonna post a sweet list of sweet stations playing our sweet song on our sweet website, so you’ll know where to look online for their numbers to stalk them into playing us.
Seriously, this is part of being in a band that we can’t do alone, so we would really appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts if you could help us out!

We’ve also booked a bunch of Christmas shows. I’m sitting down today to update our MySpace and website with all of the information. PLEASE go and check those dates out because we really want to see you guys this year for Christmas. Christmas is personally my favourite time of year, so it really means a lot to me when I see old friends and fans coming out to support us.
If you live close to Orangeville, especially, this show is a tradition we’ve had going for 3 years, so we’d love it if you came to check it out!

In my next blog entry, I’ll update you a bit on the music video! I saw some raw footage and it looks sweeeeet!

Have a great Saturday!
